Gold and Glory Tournament

Mark your calendar and sign up below for Merkavim's first ever Gold and Glory 3 v 3 Blitz Tourney!

Teams of 3 player + 2 subs (5 total) will battle over predetermined objectives in small combat areas on Blitz maps. The tourney will begin with a round-robin style group stage and continue to the playoffs, where only the winner emerges with a prize.

There will be two battle categories based on the number of tier points allowed to each team. 

Cat. 1: 28 max tier points

Cat. 2: 22 tier points (T8 max)

Category 1 winning team will receive $25 in iTunes, Google Play or other style gift cards each, while Category 2 winners will receive $15 cards.

The tournament will begin Saturday, October 7 @ 9 PM Eastern. Based on the number of registered teams it may extend to a second day. Registration closes at midnight Eastern time on Friday, October 6.

Tournament Maps and Objectives

The following maps will be used in the Gold and Glory tournament and the areas designated for combat or control in order to claim victory are clearly marked. A team may claim victory by either: 1) capping both bases within the combat zone or 2) destroying the enemy.

Official Rules

1) The playable surface of the map will be limited to combat zones.

   1.1) All shots must be fired from within the marked zones on the maps, or the team firing the shot may lose the battle by disqualification.

   1.2) Players may BRIEFLY leave or enter the combat zone if such an action is judged to be inadvertent or within the a reasonable interpretation of the line. This judgement will be according the overseeing umpire's discretion.

2) The starting 3 players on each team will be limited to either 22 or 28 tier points, depending on which league they joined. The tier of the tank they drive corresponds to that tank's "tier points."

    2.1) Players may have any combination of points up to and including the limit for their league.

​

3) A team may claim a match win if they succeed in capturing both bases within the combat zones.

    3.1) Both bases must be under team control simultaneously to claim a victory. Teams cannot claim a victory if they cap a base while the enemy team is actively engaged in capturing a previously captured base.

    3.2) A team may also claim a win by 1000 supremacy cap points.

4) A team may claim victory if they completely destroy the enemy team before the enemy team has succeeded to win by rule 3.

​

5) If the result of the battle is a tie, either by clock or dual elimination (no one is left alive), the winner will be determined by # of tanks alive > HP > Bases Captured > Base Points. If, in the rare instance that none of these conditions prove a winner, the battle will be fought again.
